British Wheel of Yoga RYT 300 hours trained in Hatha Yoga, Mindfulness, Pranayama (breathing techniques) and Relaxation. I have gravitated towards the therapeutic benefits of yoga hosting classes that focus on offering sessions that incorporate the different aspects of yoga to provide a holistic session that works on the mind, body and spirit.
Trained with Children's Yoga Tree (Yoga Alliance accredited) and Yoga Bugs to host children's classes aged 2 - 14 years. I teach in nurseries, pre-school and primary schools, introducing the use of conscious breath work whilst integrating themed sessions that are expressed through postures (Asana). Delivering in a fun relaxed atmosphere where children are free to express themselves in an inclusive environment.
Having undergone additional training, including Ourmala Charity - Healing Yoga for Refugees, Asylum Seekers & Displaced People, Hestia Charity – Sexual Violence Awareness & Modern-Day Slavery Awareness and Richard Kravetz - Chair Yoga for Mature Movers workshop, I am committed to providing yoga to those who can truly benefit from the healing tools it has to offer.
I have been most thankful for the opportunity to deliver Mindfulness, Meditation and Pranayama sessions at Evelina Children’s Hospital, further cementing my desire to pursue the dream that yoga should become a part of everyone’s life. Giving the gift of strength to open up and reconnect to the essence of you. Using the relaxation techniques through tough times, as I have done in the past, when there was nowhere else to turn.
Naturally empathetic in nature, my interest in spirituality developed from a very early age. Travelling extensively for several years this characteristic has been allowed to flourish and is a guiding force in the way I choose to live. Recognising that physical, emotional and spiritual well-being are intertwined and understanding the healing properties of food can have a fundamental effect on how we actually feel, is an ethos I have adopted for many years.
Graduated in a BSc (Hons) Environmental Science and Law (joint) degree, I have worked for local government and the private sector. Realising I desired fulfillment, it was time to pursue a career that really matters to me. I am grateful to say, I am finally home.
